File Genesis is about pictures' lives inside a computer. About their paths and processing. The pictures shown above are the result of roughly twelve months in the life of a picture inside my computer. These were once 35 mm film negatives, scanned, processed on Photoshop and uploaded to the Internet (tumblr); later on filmed with a digital camera, processed with a video edition program, to create an audiovisual piece; uploaded again to the Internet (vimeo) as a video, and screen-photographed with a digital camera, creating a new digital file. The final result is a small pixelate picture file printed and scanned.
